Description
The quintessential quick bread of the fall with an optional orange glaze!
Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups (200g) all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon ground ginger
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
1/2 teaspoon allspice
1 cup (240 ml) pumpkin puree, store-bought or homemade
1 cup (200g) sugar
1/2 cup (112g) unsalted butter, melted
2 large eggs, beaten
1/4 cup water
2 teaspoons molasses
1 teaspoon orange zest, optional
1/2 cup (65g) chopped pecans or walnuts, optional
1 cup powdered sugar
2 tablespoons orange juice
1 teaspoon orange zest
