Chirashi sushi is a traditional style of Japanese rice bowl topped with raw fish, vegetables, nori, and more. Here's how to make it at home.

Ingredients:

  • 4 extra-jumbo unpeeled shrimp (about 3 ounces)
  • 1 ounce snow peas
  • 2 cups cooked sushi rice
  • 8 ounces sashimi-grade salmon, tuna, or yellow tail, cut into 1/4-inch cubes or slices
  • 4 slices tamagoyaki
  • 6 thin slices English cucumber (about 1/8 cucumber)
  • 1/4 cup microgreens (any kind)
  • 2 whole shiso leaves (optional)
  • Shredded nori, to garnish
  • Soy sauce, to serve
  • Wasabi, to serve
