Description
This French classic couldn’t be easier.
Ingredients:
6 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs (about 1 3/4 pounds)
1 1/2 teaspoons kosher salt, plus more to taste
1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper, plus more to taste
1/4 cup flour
2 tablespoons unsalted butter
2 cups button mushrooms, quartered if large and halved if small
2 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
1 medium yellow onion, diced (1 cup)
2 medium carrots, peeled and chopped (1 cup)
1 bay leaf
4 sprigs fresh thyme
1/4 cup dry white wine
3/4 cup chicken broth
1/4 cup heavy cream
Minced fresh parsley or chives, for serving, optional
